About the Opportunity:
Join a dynamic team as a Music Therapist in the NICU/Pediatric Surgical Unit. This role involves providing therapeutic music services aimed at supporting the well-being and recovery of neonatal and pediatric patients. This is a full-time contract position based in Oakland, CA. Eligible candidates have the opportunity to float to other facilities as needed.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $46.75 to $55.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create personalized music therapy care plans for neonatal and pediatric patients.
- Provide therapeutic interventions using music to promote healing and emotional support.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as nurses and physicians to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and document patient responses and progress related to music therapy.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Therapy.
- MT-BC (Music Therapist Board Certified).
- Minimum of 1 year experience, preferably in a medical setting with children.
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
