About the Opportunity:
As a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg unit, you provide comprehensive post-surgical care, including to patients with conditions such as abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, and osteoarthritis. This position involves floating across various units and requires experience in operating specialty equipment like IV pumps and feeding tubes. The role is a full-time contract position focused on adults with varied medical needs.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $48.34 to $57.13 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create individualized care plans for patients.
- Provide necessary therapy and education to support recovery.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and outcomes.
- Stay informed on latest practices in the field of post-surgical care.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Active New York RN license and all active RN licenses, verified through NURSYS Report.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg settings with documented travel experience.
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR system.
- Up-to-date resume with relevant travel and specialty experience.
