About the Opportunity:
This contract position involves working as a Registered Nurse in the Adult Emergency Department, a state-of-the-art facility handling over 100,000 visits annually and recognized as one of the busiest trauma centers in the country. It is the only Level I trauma hospital in the area. This role requires treating a diverse patient population and assisting with boarder patients. The schedule includes rotating shifts across days, evenings, and nights, with floating, weekend, holiday, on-call, callback, and charge responsibilities based on unit needs. The position is full-time, averaging 36 or 48 hours per week.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $52.25 to $61.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for emergency department patients.
- Provide emergency medical care and treatments following department protocols.
- Collaborate with doctors, specialists, and medical staff to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatments.
- Stay informed on current practices and research relevant to emergency nursing care.
Job Requirements:
- RN License (NY License ONLY).
- Two years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
- Previous travel emergency room experience.
- Telemetry experience required.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association ONLY).
- NIHSS certification preferred.
