About the Opportunity:
This opportunity allows Registered Nurses to provide specialized care to patients in an Outpatient Infusion Unit. This full-time contract position involves administering chemotherapy and other infusion therapies to adult and geriatric patients with common diagnoses such as oncology, neuro, anemia, and gastrointestinal conditions.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $53.99 to $63.81 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create personalized care plans for each patient.
- Administer chemotherapy and various infusion therapies safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate optimal care.
- Monitor and accurately document patient progress and treatment response.
- Utilize technology such as EPIC, Omnicell, Ascom, and glucometers in the care process.
- Operate equipment like Alaris pumps and elastomeric pumps for infusion treatments.
Job Requirements:
- Possess relevant certifications including BLS, ACLS, and Chemotherapy.
- Minimum of one year of experience in an outpatient infusion setting.
- Experience with the administration of blood products and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong skills in communication and organization.
