About the Opportunity:
An Echo Technologist in the Non-Invasive Cardiology department operates and maintains echocardiogram equipment to provide high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include obtaining echocardiograms, scheduling patients, explaining procedures, and ensuring equipment cleanliness and maintenance. This position is a full-time contract role, working Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break over a 17-week assignment.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $57.75 to $68.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct echocardiograms and document test results.
- Provide patient education to ensure understanding and cooperation during procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to review test results and coordinate care.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of echocardiogram equipment.
- Perform clerical tasks and cross-train departmental staff as needed.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED and completion of approved Echocardiogram Training Program.
- Echocardiography CCI or ARMS Echo Certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an echocardiography technician.
- Proficiency in a variety of echocardiographic techniques such as 2-D Echo, 3-D Echo, Doppler methods, and pediatric care.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
