About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract opportunity involves working as a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit, providing essential care to a diverse adult patient population with common diagnoses such as post-surgical care, abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity (bariatric surgery). Nurses use specialty equipment such as IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $48.34 to $57.13 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatment therapies.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare staff to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
- Stay informed on best practices in medical-surgical nursing care.
- Assist with patient mobility and implement safety measures.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Active NY RN license and verification of all active RN licenses via NURSYS Report.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical settings.
- Travel nursing experience required.
- Experience with EMR systems, particularly EPIC.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
