About the Opportunity
Our client is well-regarded financial services firm located in New York City, and they are eager to hire a strategic and results-driven Director of People Operations to join their team! This role will be instrumental in optimizing operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with employment regulations, and fostering a seamless employee experience. The ideal candidate is a data-driven leader with expertise in HR operations, technology, and analytics, dedicated to creating a high-performing, people-centric workplace. They are currently operating on a hybrid schedule.
The annual base salary range is $250,000 to $350,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Create a scalable, cohesive HR infrastructure that is tailored to employees at all levels
- Lead evaluation and implementation of HR platforms and systems
- Develop, implement, enforce policies that are compliant, practical, and are aligned with the culture and environment we want to create for our employees and to support the business
- Engage with employees on employee relations matters, cultural initiatives, and day to day process development and improvement to provide a work environment conducive to success
- Research, benchmark, manage our comprehensive compensation, benefits and perks offered
- Review and develop benefit options including retirement / 401k, PTO, maternity/paternity leave plans, wellness and other rewards programs that are competitive, comprehensive, and well-utilized
- Partner with the CEO to review the current compensation strategy and make recommendations for best practices in attracting and retaining people in a competitive market. Operationalize compensation practices in recruitment and through the employee life cycle
- Partner with the CEO, CFO, and CTO on assisting managers with communication and coaching with respect to performance management, team development, and employee relations
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of work experience in HR operations/HRIS
- Financial Services industry is required
- Highly skilled at creating and implementing a scalable process that creates efficiency and effectiveness across the HR function and broader business/team
- Must be metric and process-driven while also flexible
- The confidence to collaborate and challenge leadership and executives for the right reasons
- Comfortable in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and always evolving startup environment
