About the Opportunity
Our client, a respected healthcare facility, is seeking a skilled and compassionate CRNA to join their high-performing anesthesia team in Bergen County, NJ. This role involves delivering safe and effective anesthesia care across a wide range of surgical and procedural settings, while working in close coordination with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff.
The annual base salary range is $240,000 to $265,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Administer various types of anesthesia including general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care using techniques such as IV sedation inhalation agents, spinal/epidural blocks, and peripheral nerve blocks
- Conduct thorough preoperative evaluations, including review of patient history, labs, and imaging to assess anesthesia risks
- Monitor patients throughout procedures, adjusting anesthetic levels and managing vital signs, ventilation, and fluid status
- Provide airway management and emergency support, including intubation and use of advanced airway devices
- Ensure smooth postoperative recovery by managing pain, nausea, and other anesthesia-related effects
- Collaborate with surgical and nursing teams to optimize patient outcomes and procedural efficiency
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of anesthesia plans, intraoperative events, and recovery notes
- Participate in ongoing quality assurance efforts, including case reviews and protocol refinement
- Educate patients and families on anesthesia procedures, risks, and recovery expectations
- Stay current with advancements in anesthesia practices, pharmacology, and equipment
- Support training and mentorship of new CRNAs or students, when applicable
- Comply with institutional policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements
Job Requirements
- Graduate degree in Nurse Anesthesia (Master’s or DNP)
- Certified by the NBCRNA (National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists)
- Active RN license in the applicable state
- Prior experience in critical care nursing (ICU, ED, etc.) before anesthesia training
- Strong clinical judgment and proficiency in anesthesia techniques and pharmacology
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
