About the Opportunity
Our client is a multi-service provider of technology solutions with revenue around $25m. They are hiring a CFO to help with acquisitions and integrations, and to be a business leader for the company. They are primarily remote with offices in NY, NJ and the UK.
The annual base salary range is $175,000 to $250,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the CEO and senior management team to develop and execute the company’s financial strategy and long-term financial planning
- Oversee and ensure regular financial reporting (e.g. preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements), forecasts, planning, financial modeling, budgeting, financial analysis, and cash management
- Provide financial insights and projections to support key business decisions
- Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, presenting findings to the executive team and the investors
- Maintain the integrity of financial data and records, ensuring adherence to accounting principles and company policies
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and financial accuracy
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational priorities
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and recommendations for corrective actions when necessary
- Implement effective cash flow management strategies to optimize working capital, liquidity, and financial stability
- Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations for prudent financial investments
- Identify and assess financial risks and implement risk management strategies to safeguard the company’s assets and interests
- Manage the company’s capital structure and financing options, seeking opportunities to optimize debt and equity mix
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional growth
- Leads the development of financial strategies that support the growth and profitability of the firm
- Provides management team with advice on the financial implications and expected ROI of business initiatives and investments; plays a key role in due diligence for M&A
- Partner with the CEO to support corporate finance activities, including capital fundraising
- Oversee and manage relationships with financial institutions and investors
- Respond to investor inquires as needed
- Lead the integration of acquired company financials and operations
- Maintain relationships with external vendors and the public accounting firm for tax and audit purposes
Job Requirements
- 12-20 years Director/VP of Finance or CFO from small company, under $100m revenue
- International operations a plus
