Corporate Paralegal

About the Opportunity

Our client, a prestigious financial services firm in Manhattan, is eagerly seeking a skilled and motivated Corporate Paralegal to join their legal department. This role will play a key part in managing legal documentation, assisting with regulatory compliance, and supporting corporate governance processes. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and prior experience working within the legal function of a financial institution. They are currently operating on a hybrid schedule with 3 days a week in the office!

The annual base salary range is $90,000 to $125,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Gather essential data to establish business entities, prepare and submit necessary governance documents, including structural diagrams, while ensuring entity records are maintained accurately and updated regularly
  • Support client verification processes by preparing and issuing relevant documentation such as certificates, charts, and letters related to various investment entities and their portfolios
  • Draft organizational documents such as approvals and resolutions, and assist in managing routine corporate administrative tasks
  • Play an integral role in supporting the closing of investment deals, including ensuring all post-closing documentation is organized and stored appropriately
  • Manage and log incoming communications, including legal notices, and ensure they are promptly distributed to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Handle document requests from internal teams and external parties, providing required entity information and confirming authorized signatories

 

Job Requirements

  • 2-4 years of professional experience in a corporate environment with knowledge of investment structures at the entity and portfolio level
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe, and related tools (required)
  • Notary certification is highly preferred*
