Social Work Crisis Clinician (Overnights)

About the Opportunity

We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Crisis Clinician to join our client’s dedicated team. As a Crisis Clinician in their organization, you will play a crucial role in providing immediate mental health support to individuals experiencing crises during the overnight shift.

The annual base salary range is $58,000 to $68,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to crisis calls and emergencies during the overnight shift, providing mental health assessment, intervention, and support to individuals in distress
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health status, safety, and risk factors to determine appropriate interventions and level of care required
  • Implement crisis intervention techniques to de-escalate volatile situations, promote emotional stabilization, and reduce immediate risk
  • Collaborate with local emergency services, including police, paramedics, and hospitals, to ensure the safety and well-being of clients during crisis situations
  • Develop and implement crisis intervention plans, considering the unique needs and preferences of each client, and facilitate appropriate referrals to community resources and follow-up services
  • Maintain accurate and confidential electronic records of crisis interventions, assessments, and progress notes in compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements
  • Participate in regular team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to enhance professional development and stay updated on best practices in crisis intervention and mental health care
  • Adhere to ethical standards and guidelines, maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated care and comprehensive support for clients.

 

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling required
  • LCSW, LMSW, or LMHC license required
  • Strong knowledge of mental health disorders, crisis assessment, and evidence-based intervention techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport quickly and build trust with individuals in crisis
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations and make sound decisions
