About the Opportunity:
The CT Technologist opportunity involves providing comprehensive diagnostic imaging services at a Level 1 Trauma Center. Key responsibilities include confirming patient identity and exam verification, coordinating with physicians for diagnostic imaging, and preparing patients for scans. The role also involves inserting IVs when necessary, positioning patients, maintaining accurate patient record-keeping within EPIC, and ensuring a clean and safe scanning facility. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $57.75 to $68.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting patient identity and exam verification.
- Coordinating with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
- Preparing patients for scans and explaining procedures.
- Inserting IVs when necessary for tests.
- Positioning patients accordingly, including lifting or moving patients with limited mobility.
- Maintaining accurate patient record-keeping within EPIC.
- Ensuring images are correctly sent to the PACS system upon exam completion.
- Maintaining a clean and safe scanning facility.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- NYS licensure (must obtain prior to starting position).
- Two (2) years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
- Injection certification preferred (must be willing to complete during orientation process).
- Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
