About the Opportunity:
CT Technologists use computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. This role requires accurately interpreting physicians' scanning instructions, administering contrast materials, preparing and operating CT scan equipment, and positioning patients to capture appropriate images. CT Technologists must maneuver equipment and disabled patients, requiring good physical health. Safety procedures are critical due to radiation exposure. This is a part-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $60.50 to $71.50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct CT imaging procedures based on physicians' instructions.
- Administer contrast materials safely and competently.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to evaluate images.
- Monitor and document patient progress throughout the scanning process.
- Stay informed on radiation safety protocols and CT technology advances.
Job Requirements:
- High School graduate.
- Graduate of A.M.A approved school for radiologic technology with advanced training in CT.
- Licensed in NYS as a radiologic technologist.
- Advanced certification as a CT technologist.
- Current ARRT certification.
- Certified by NYS for contrast injections.
- Minimum two years of CT technologist experience.
- Pass a facility-required competency test to be considered.
