About the Opportunity:
Nuclear Medical Technicians perform advanced nuclear cardiology studies including SPECT, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT with precision and clinical expertise. They deliver compassionate, patient-centered care by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and maintaining safety at all times. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $59.40 to $70.20 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced nuclear cardiology studies (SPECT, SPECT/CT, PET/CT) with precision and clinical expertise.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and maintaining safety at all times.
- Acquire and process diagnostic images, perform daily quality control, and maintain radiopharmacy operations within NYSDOH guidelines.
- Manage and document patient data in the eRecord CUPID system ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nuclear Cardiology and colleagues to implement new technologies and continuously enhance lab protocols.
- Conduct SPECT blood flow studies, cardiac amyloidosis and a hybrid SPECT resting study followed by PET sarcoid or viability studies.
Job Requirements:
- NYS Rad Tech License.
- NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification.
- 2 years of Nuclear Med experience.
- 6 months of Cardiac Imaging experience.
- BLS Certification.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine from an accredited program.
