About the Opportunity:
As a Radiation Therapist in the Oncology Department, you provide radiation therapy services to patients using advanced technologies such as Varian TrueBeam and IX systems. This is a full-time contract position offering the opportunity to work 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM over a 13-week period.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $56.27 to $66.50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct radiation treatment planning and delivery using Varian TrueBeam and IX systems.
- Collaborate with oncologists, dosimetrists, and medical physicists to optimize patient care plans.
- Monitor and document patient progress and responses to therapy.
- Provide patient education regarding radiation therapy procedures and expectations.
Job Requirements:
- New York state license in hand required.
- Minimum one year of radiation therapy experience.
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Possesses knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
