About the Opportunity:
This Radiation Therapist role in the Oncology Department involves providing radiation therapy services to patients. It is a full-time contract position with 8-hour day shifts scheduled from 8am to 4:30pm. The position duration is 13 weeks and requires adherence to a 100-mile radius rule.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $61.38 to $72.54 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct radiation therapy treatments and create care plans.
- Operate equipment such as Varian TrueBeam and IX, and use Aria software.
- Collaborate with oncologists and radiologists to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress during and after treatment.
- Stay informed on advancements in radiologic technology and oncology care practices.
Job Requirements:
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current BCLS certification required.
- One year of radiation therapy experience.
- Possess a NY license in hand.
- Specific experience and training in Radiology preferred.
- Solid understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Maintain all registries and licenses required by state and federal law.
