About the Opportunity:
As a Radiation Therapist, you provide specialized care within the Oncology Department. You deliver precise radiation therapy to patients, utilizing varian truebeam and IX equipment, and document treatments accurately. This is a full-time contract position requiring an in-depth understanding of radiologic technology and patient care.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $61.38 to $72.54 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct precise radiation therapy treatments.
- Utilize varian truebeam and IX equipment.
- Collaborate with oncology professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient treatment progress.
- Stay informed on advancements in radiation therapy technology and protocols.
Job Requirements:
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Current BCLS certification.
- NY license in hand required.
- Minimum one year of experience in radiation therapy.
- Prefer experience and training in Radiology.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Maintains all registries and licenses required by state and federal law.
