About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position involves conducting nutritional assessments and creating care plans tailored to patient needs. The role includes educating patients on nutrition, providing dietary counseling, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $40.11 to $47.40 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct nutritional assessments and create personalized care plans.
- Provide dietary education and counseling to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress in relevant software systems.
- Stay informed on the latest research in nutrition and dietetics.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Registered Dietitian credentialed with Commission on Dietetic Registration or Registration Eligible.
- Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist in New York State preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience in acute care or long-term care settings preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Point Click Care, Meditech, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
