Allied Health – Travel Cardiovascular Cath Lab Technologist

About the Opportunity:

We’re hiring an experienced Travel Cardiovascular Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Brick, New Jersey. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled Cath Lab Tech who enjoys working in a high-acuity environment and has experience supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.

The estimated base pay for this position are $65 to $70 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the procedural team during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures.
  • Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and sterile supplies before each case.
  • Maintain a sterile field while supporting physicians throughout procedures.
  • Set up and monitor hemodynamic equipment, recording patient data during procedures.
  • Operate imaging and procedural equipment while ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Assist with temporary and permanent pacemaker procedures.
  • Support the use of advanced cardiac assist devices, including Impella and intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP).
  • Assist with vascular access management, sheath removal, and post-procedure hemostasis.
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures and promptly recognize changes in cardiac rhythm or condition.
  • Follow radiation safety guidelines and infection prevention protocols.
  • Help maintain equipment, stock procedural supplies, and participate in the department’s on-call rotation.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience
  • Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist, Radiologic Technologist, or Applied Science program
  • Current BLS certification (AHA)
  • Radiology certification required
  • ARRT certification preferred
  • State Radiologic License, if applicable

Schedule & Call Requirements:

  • Day Shift (7:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
  • Four 10-hour shifts per week
  • 40 hours guaranteed
  • Weekend coverage as needed
  • One summer holiday and one winter holiday required
  • On-call participation required (minimum 7 shifts, maximum 10 during the assignment)
  • No floating required

Candidates should have experience with:

  • Cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Hemodynamic monitoring
  • Sterile procedural techniques
  • Impella support
  • Intra-aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
  • Cardiac rhythm recognition
  • Permanent pacemaker procedures
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced procedural setting
