About the Opportunity:
This opportunity offers a full-time contract position for a Registered Nurse in the PICU. The role includes providing critical care nursing services to pediatric patients, focusing on complex cases in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Duties involve monitoring patient progress, administering medications, and operating life-support systems. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential to ensure comprehensive patient care. The position requires flexible scheduling with 12-hour variable day/night shifts and includes weekend coverage requirements.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $56.10 to $66.30 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and creating individualized care plans for pediatric patients.
- Providing advanced life support and critical care therapies.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress accurately.
- Staying informed on the latest research and practices in pediatric critical care.
Job Requirements:
- Valid CA RN License, BLS, AHA BLS, and PALS certifications.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Pediatric CVICU setting.
- Preferred experience in PICU, NICU, and ACLS certification.
- Proficiency in Epic charting system and related clinical skills such as ventilator management, ECMO, and interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
