About the Opportunity:
We offer an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), focusing on delivering comprehensive care to critically ill pediatric patients. This full-time contract position involves high-acuity patient care, requiring excellent clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Registered Nurses in this role provide specialized care, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and participate in patient-centered care planning to ensure optimal outcomes.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $60.50 to $71.50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and create comprehensive care plans.
- Provide advanced care including ECMO, VAD, and CRRT management
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Monitor and document patient progress using EPIC charting system.
- Stay informed on current healthcare practices and innovations.
Job Requirements:
- BSN degree (required).
- Completion of Nurse Residency Program if a new graduate (required).
- Current NYS RN Licensure (required).
- BLS and PALS certifications (required).
- Minimum two years of experience in PICU settings.
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
- Proven skills in effective interpersonal communication and customer service.
- Knowledge of nursing processes in social, behavioral, biological, and physical sciences.
- Proficiency in pediatric CVICU and ECMO management.
