About the Opportunity:
Provide American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation services to facilitate communication for students, staff, and the community within Federal Way Public Schools. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $41.25 to $48.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) finalizes at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct ASL interpreting for classroom instructions and school events.
- Provide language access for community and parent meetings.
- Collaborate with educational staff to support student learning objectives.
- Monitor and document communication interactions and effectiveness.
- Stay informed on best practices in ASL interpretation and educational settings.
Job Requirements:
- Relevant certification in ASL interpreting or similar credential.
- Minimum of two years experience in educational or similar settings.
- Strong skills in communication and organization.
