About the Opportunity:
This Dental Assistant role requires providing top-notch patient care and satisfaction in a team-based dental environment. This is a full-time contract position requiring various clinical duties ranging in complexity. Exceptional customer service and communication skills remain crucial at all times.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $19.25 to $22.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure a welcoming and well-prepared treatment room by following prescribed procedures.
- Prepare patients for dental treatments by welcoming and seating them.
- Serve as a key communicator, providing valuable information and support.
- Provide instrumentation by sterilizing and positioning instruments.
- Assist in providing materials by selecting, mixing, and placing them properly.
- Provide diagnostic information through radiographic studies and casting.
- Maintain patient appearance with temporary restorations and appliance care.
- Respond to dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care.
- Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
- Adhere strictly to infection-control policies to protect patients and staff.
- Conserve dental resources through efficient use of supplies and equipment.
- Maintain professional knowledge through workshops and professional activities.
- Contribute to team effort by achieving related results as necessary.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or six months of hands-on experience.
- X-Ray Certification with six months of related experience.
- Preferred: Dental Assistant Certification.
- Demonstrated communication and organizational skills.
