About the Opportunity:
Join our team as a Dental Assistant, providing high-quality patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. Handle various clinical duties in dental office operations with opportunities for growth and learning. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $24.75 to $29.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, providing information and support.
- Sterilize and deliver instruments, assist with suctioning, and pass instruments as needed.
- Select, mix, and apply materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth.
- Expose and develop radiographic studies, and manage study casts.
- Fabricate temporary restorations and maintain removable appliances.
- Assist in managing dental and medical emergencies with CPR certification knowledge.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Document services by charting in patient records.
- Adhere to infection-control policies to ensure a safe environment.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuous learning.
- Contribute to team efforts as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or six months of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant.
- Six (6) hour x-ray training certification.
- CPR card.
- Nitrous oxide and coronal polishing certifications preferred.
