About the Opportunity:
We seek a Dental Assistant to provide a high level of patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. This full-time contract position includes various clinical duties for dental office operations, requiring exceptional customer service and communication skills. The Dental Assistant handles tasks such as preparing treatment rooms, assisting with dental procedures, and maintaining patient records.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $22.00 to $26.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure a welcoming and well-prepared treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Prepare patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patients.
- Serve as a key communicator within the practice, providing information and support to patients and colleagues.
- Provide instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area.
- Provide diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies.
- Educate patients with oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
- Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic work environment by adhering to established procedures, rules, and regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or six months of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant.
- Six (6) hour x-ray training certification.
- CPR card.
- Nitrous oxide certification preferred.
- Coronal polishing certification preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
