About the Opportunity:
As an Orthodontic Assistant, you play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care by assisting the doctor in orthodontic procedures, treatment planning, and patient education. You maintain a well-organized practice by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, assisting in procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $27.50 to $32.50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for orthodontic procedures.
- Assist the doctor with patient treatment, positioning instruments, and handling orthodontic appliances.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, post-procedure care, and oral hygiene.
- Manage patient scheduling and assist with front-office tasks as needed.
- Support dentists and staff with treatment planning, billing, and insurance matters.
- Ensure accurate submission of expenses and invoices.
- Maintain office inventory, including supplies and equipment.
- Address patient and employee concerns professionally.
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program, or one year of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant.
- CPR card.
- X-ray training or certification.
- Experience as an Orthodontics Assistant (preferred).
