About the Opportunity:
As a Dental Hygienist, provide essential support in preventive oral health care and assist professional dental staff with treatment at a dynamic dental practice. This part-time contract position focuses on delivering exceptional care in a supportive and friendly environment with opportunities for professional growth.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $24.75 to $29.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization.
- Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress.
- Update patient health history and chart treatment progress.
- Expose and develop radiographs (if certified).
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments.
- Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations and office recall systems.
- Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with the industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Six (6) hour X-ray training certification.
- CPR certification.
- At least six months of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant or Dental Hygiene Assistant or in a Dental Assistant Internship.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort.
