About the Opportunity:
A Dental Hygienist provides crucial dental care, working closely with the dentist to address the oral health needs of patients. This role demands a high level of patient care and satisfaction within a team-based environment. As a part-time contract position, a Dental Hygienist engages in various clinical duties, requiring exceptional customer service skills and collaboration with dentists, dental assistants, and other team members.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $52.25 to $61.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment.
- Provide oral hygiene treatment and education according to state guidelines.
- Apply fluoride and protective sealants; remove calculus, stain, and plaque from gum areas.
- Offer nutritional counseling and devise self-care programs to prevent disease.
- Record and review patient medical histories.
- Adhere to office policies including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Order and maintain inventory.
- Contribute to team efforts as necessary.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene school.
- Current state-issued Dental Hygiene license.
- CPR certification.
- X-ray training or certification.
- One year of experience as a hygienist.
- Proficiency with GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
