About the Opportunity:
Join our team as a Dental Hygienist in Springfield, MA. This part-time contract position focuses on promoting preventive oral health care by providing quality dental hygiene services to our patients. You play an integral role in educating patients, preparing treatment rooms, and assisting with routine dental procedures in a friendly and supportive environment.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $30.25 to $35.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization.
- Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress.
- Update patient health history and chart treatment progress.
- Expose and develop radiographs (if certified).
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments.
- Support the hygienist with patient scheduling, treatment recommendations, and office recall systems.
- Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior dental assisting experience.
- X-ray training or certification.
- BLS certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort.
- Preferred: Associate degree or certification in Dental Assisting.
- Preferred: Certified Dental Assistant.
