About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position for a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) focuses on providing anesthesia services to patients. The role includes managing general surgery cases, endoscopies, total joints, arthroscopies, peripheral nerve blocks, urology, ENT, gynecology, C-sections, pediatrics (dental, ENT, and ortho), and labor epidurals. Professionals provide inpatient care in a critical access hospital setting with a 25-bed capacity. The schedule includes day shifts from 7am to 3:30pm and participation in evening and weekend call duties.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $167.20 to $197.60 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting pre-anesthetic assessments and creating care plans.
- Providing anesthesia for a variety of surgeries including general, orthopedic, and pediatric.
- Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress during anesthesia and recovery phases.
- Staying informed on best practices and innovations in anesthesia care.
Job Requirements:
- Current licensure as a CRNA in the state of Alaska.
- Certification in ACLS by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Epic proficiency.
- Experience with inpatient settings and anesthesia in a critical access hospital.
- Ability to handle a variety of anesthesia procedures and age groups.
