About the Opportunity:
A Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) position is available at a critical access hospital in Ketchikan, AK. In this full-time contract role, you provide anesthesia care to diverse patient demographics across a 25-bed inpatient setting. The CRNA collaborates with a variety of specialists, including General Surgery, Pediatrics, and OB/GYN, to ensure comprehensive perioperative care. Typical duties include managing general surgery cases, endoscopies, total joints, arthroscopies, peripheral nerve blocks, urology, ENT, gynecology, c-sections, labor epidurals, and pediatric procedures. The schedule operates Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm, with variable on-call requirements.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $167.20 to $197.60 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and administer anesthesia care plans.
- Provide anesthesia for general surgeries, endoscopies, and various specialized procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, hospitalists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Monitor and document patient conditions throughout surgical and non-surgical procedures.
- Stay informed on best practices and emerging research in anesthesia care.
Job Requirements:
- Current licensure as a CRNA in the state of Alaska.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records.
- Clinical experience in the administration of anesthesia care for at least 24 months, with documented case logs.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
