About the Opportunity:
This Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) position involves providing anesthetic care to patients ranging from adolescents to end of life in a Level 1 trauma center setting. The contract is full-time and requires flexibility with shifts, including weekend availability. CRNAs collaborate with a team of anesthesiologists and anesthesia residents to ensure quality care across various inpatient and outpatient locations. The role excludes cases involving open heart/thoracic, pediatrics, obstetrics, and performing peripheral nerve blocks.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $143.00 to $169.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct anesthesia assessments and create anesthetic care plans.
- Provide anesthesia for surgeries and other medical procedures.
- Collaborate with attending anesthesiologists, residents, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient responses to anesthesia and adjust care plans as required.
- Stay informed on current anesthesia practices and advancements.
Job Requirements:
- Current certification as a CRNA.
- Valid ACLS and BLS certifications through AHA.
- Board Certification in nurse anesthesia required.
- Current Virginia license required.
- Minimum of two years experience, ideally in academic medical centers or Level 1 trauma centers.
- Experience working with ASA 3+ patients preferred.
- Valid COVID and Flu vaccinations required, with no exemptions allowed.
