About the Opportunity:
The Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides anesthesia care to patients ranging from adolescents to end-of-life in a Level 1 trauma center setting. Collaborating with a team of 60 CRNAs, approximately 70 attending anesthesiologists, and 60 anesthesia residents, the role covers multiple locations including the main OR, outpatient surgery centers, and Endoscopy center. This is a full-time contract position with a schedule of four 10-hour shifts or three 12-13 hour shifts per week, with availability for select weekends.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $143.00 to $169.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive anesthesia assessments and create care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Provide anesthesia care in various settings including the main OR and outpatient surgery centers.
- Collaborate with attending anesthesiologists and residents to ensure coordinated care delivery.
- Monitor and document patient progress throughout anesthesia care.
- Stay informed on current anesthesia practices and research.
Job Requirements:
- Valid ACLS and BLS certifications completed through the AHA.
- Board Certification required.
- Valid Virginia license required.
- Minimum of 2 years experience, preferably in academic or trauma center settings.
- Experience with ASA 3+ patients preferred.
- Covid and Flu vaccines required; exemptions not approved.
