About the Opportunity:
The compliance officer provides critical support within the Division of Condominiums, Timeshares, and Mobile Homes by addressing and analyzing constituent complaints. This full-time contract position involves direct interaction with complainants, utilizing state statutes to evaluate issues, and communicating relevant findings and resolutions.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $28.32 to $33.47 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Contacting constituents/complainants to discuss the details of filed complaints.
- Reading state statutes and comparing them with complaints to analyze issues.
- Communicating with the public and providing exceptional customer service.
- Advising complainants on the Division's jurisdiction and case closures.
- Providing resources or referrals as appropriate.
- Sending written correspondence to complainants once approved by the supervisor.
- Closing cases by documenting relevant codes/activities/statutes in Versa.
- Documenting actions in the OnBase system.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing appropriately.
- Capability to read and interpret Florida statutes.
- Previous experience working with the public in a professional setting.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Commitment to project timelines.
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree highly desired.
- Experience using Versa and OnBase systems is highly desired.
