About the Opportunity:
Our client, a hospital in Roslyn, NY, is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment, starting ASAP. This role supports the cardiovascular operating room, providing skilled perioperative nursing care during open-heart and cardiovascular surgical procedures.
The ideal candidate has dedicated CVOR or open-heart operating room experience and thrives in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical environment.
The estimated base pay for this position is $80 to $85 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care during CVOR and open-heart surgical procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and equipment for cardiovascular surgeries
- Monitor patients throughout surgical procedures and respond to changes in condition
- Collaborate with cardiovascular surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical care team
- Document patient care and procedures accurately per hospital and regulatory standards
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association – AHA)
- ACLS certification required (American Heart Association – AHA)
- Minimum 1-2 years of dedicated CVOR or open-heart operating room experience required
Schedule Details:
- 10 or 12-hour shifts
- Contract length: 13 weeks, start ASAP
