About the Opportunity:
The RN ER position involves assessing and managing patients' clinical conditions in a fast-paced Emergency Room environment. Nurses prioritize and initiate actions in serious situations, operate emergency care equipment, administer prescribed therapeutic measures, and document patient care activities. RNs may float to Medical-Surgical or ICU units as needed and work every other weekend and holidays. This is a full-time contract position working from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $55.00 to $65.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' clinical conditions, recognizing and interpreting serious situations.
- Initiate appropriate measures in emergency situations when the physician is not available.
- Operate and monitor emergency care equipment like infusion pumps and ventilators.
- Administer therapeutic measures such as medications and IV therapy.
- Record observations, nursing interventions, and therapeutic measures.
- Document specific health care requirements and prepare assignments for team members.
- Plan and develop care delivery, coordinating the documentation of care.
- Share responsibilities for supplies and equipment upkeep and maintaining a safe environment.
Job Requirements:
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (Mandatory).
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ER RN experience.
- Experience with ventilators.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- Aware of possible floating to ICU and Medical-Surgical units.
