About the Opportunity:
This opportunity involves providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced Adult Emergency Department (ED), a state-of-the-art facility managing over 100,000 visits annually. It ranks as one of the busiest trauma centers in the country and is the only Level I trauma hospital in the area. As a Registered Nurse in the ED, you provide care to a diverse patient population and assist with boarder patients. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $50.60 to $59.80 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and creating individualized care plans.
- Providing emergency medical care and interventions as required.
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress accurately and timely.
- Staying informed on current emergency nursing practices and protocols.
Job Requirements:
- RN License (NY License ONLY).
- Two (2) years of experience in an emergency department setting.
- Telemetry experience required.
- Previous travel ER experience required.
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY).
- ACLS (American Heart Association ONLY).
- NIHSS certification.
