About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position involves providing first assist services in the Main Operating Room with a focus on robotic surgery, particularly Davinci Robotics. The Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) collaborates with the surgical team to perform safe and effective surgeries, practicing perioperative nursing skills specific to both the RNFA role and operating room settings. The role includes on-call responsibilities until 11 PM as needed, but excludes weekends, with holidays based on unit requirements.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $55.00 to $65.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the surgeon and healthcare team in performing surgeries.
- Practicing perioperative nursing in the operating room environment.
- Performing duties of OR staff RN when not assigned to RNFA role.
- Scrubbing and circulating as needed in the operating room.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress.
Job Requirements:
- RN License (NY License ONLY).
- Completion of an accredited RN First Assistant course.
- Davinci robotic surgery experience.
- CNOR Certification.
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY).
- ACLS preferred (American Heart Association ONLY).
- Two years of operating room experience; level 1 trauma experience preferred.
