About the Opportunity:
This is a full-time contract position as an RN First Assist in the Main Operating Room with a focus on Davinci Robotics at a healthcare facility. The role involves collaborating with the surgeon and healthcare team to perform safe operations, delivering optimal outcomes for patients. Responsibilities include practicing perioperative nursing with the necessary knowledge, skill, and judgment specific to the operating room and RNFA role. The RNFA operates under the direction of the surgeon during the operative phase of the perioperative experience and performs duties of an OR staff RN when not assigned in the RNFA role. The schedule includes Monday-Friday day shifts with on-call responsibilities until 11 PM as per unit needs. The position excludes weekends, with holiday requirements as necessary.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $71.50 to $84.50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and creating perioperative care plans.
- Providing support for Davinci robotic surgeries in various specialties including urology, GYN, colorectal, surgical oncology, thoracic, and general surgery.
- Collaborating with surgeons and healthcare professionals in the operating room.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress during surgical procedures.
- Staying informed on the latest practices in perioperative and robotic surgery.
Job Requirements:
- RN License (NY License ONLY).
- Davinci Experience in specialties such as robotic urology, GYN, colorectal, surgical oncology, thoracic, and general surgery.
- CNOR Certification required.
- Completion of an accredited RN First Assistant course.
- Two years experience in OR; level 1 trauma experience preferred.
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
- ACLS Certification preferred (American Heart Association ONLY).
- Skills in both scrubbing and circulating preferred.
