About the Opportunity:
This position offers an exciting role as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in San Francisco, CA. The RN provides care to adult and geriatric patients by conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and monitoring patient progress in a fast-paced environment. This full-time contract position includes floating to various UCSF facilities and departments as needed, ensuring diverse experience and skill utilization. Fluency in operating advanced medical devices such as ECMO, IABP, Impella, LVAD, CRRT, and PA Catheters is crucial. Must be adaptable with 12-hour day/night rotating shifts.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $53.90 to $63.70 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and create individualized care plans.
- Provide complex therapies including CRRT and ECMO.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams such as respiratory services and social services to ensure seamless patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress with precision, employing charting systems like Epic.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest critical care practices and device management.
Job Requirements:
- California RN License, BSN, AHA BLS, and ACLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years ICU experience, preferably 2.5 years, including with devices like ECMO and Impella.
- Experience with trauma level II and preferred exposure to charting systems such as Epic.
- Key skills in accessing/managing ports and cardiovascular intensive care procedures.
