About the Opportunity:
The RN in Interventional Radiology (IR) provides specialized care to patients undergoing diagnostics and procedures, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of patient care in radiation and ALARA. Duties include working with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective communication and triage skills in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This is a full-time contract position in Los Angeles, CA, with no weekend requirement.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $55.00 to $65.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and creating care plans for IR patients.
- Providing patient education and procedural sedation monitoring.
- Collaborating with technologists and medical doctors in NM, PET, and RLT areas.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress using Epic charting.
- Staying informed on radiation safety principles and triage protocols.
Job Requirements:
- BSN, ACLS, BLS certifications required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in interventional radiology or related settings.
- Previous charge experience preferred.
- Strong communication, IV, and port accessing skills.
- CA RN License required; EMSA not accepted.
