About the Opportunity:
We offer a full-time contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, specializing in pediatric care. The role involves providing comprehensive surgical support at our facility in Oakland, CA. Candidates execute perioperative nursing interventions, educate patients and families, and ensure all safety protocols are followed in a multidisciplinary team environment. Shifts include night hours consisting of 2X12 and 2X8 for 40-hour weeks, with potential opportunities for day shifts. Flexibility to float to other affiliated facilities as needed.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $56.65 to $66.95 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct surgical assessments and develop patient care plans
- Provide intraoperative and postoperative care, ensuring patient safety
- Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to deliver optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor and document patient progress using Epic charting system
- Stay informed on pediatric surgical nursing practices and techniques
Job Requirements:
- CA RN License
- AHA BLS and PALS certifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pediatric operating room settings
- Preferred experience in scrub, cardiac circulating, and ambulatory OR
- Experience with Trauma Level I and Epic charting system
