About the Opportunity:
This Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR) position involves providing specialized care to pediatric patients. You work primarily in the OR at a children's hospital, conducting surgeries and various medical procedures as part of a multidisciplinary team. This is a full-time contract position, requiring night shifts of 2X12 and 2X8 for 40-hour weeks, with a possibility for daytime shifts. The ability to float to other facilities is necessary.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $56.65 to $66.95 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct surgical assessments and create care plans for pediatric patients.
- Provide support during surgeries and manage perioperative care.
- Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure effective patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress during procedures.
- Stay informed on pediatric surgical practices and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Current CA RN License.
- AHA BLS certification and PALS required.
- Minimum 3 years of Pediatric OR experience required.
- Scrub experience and cardiac circulating experience preferred.
- BSN required.
- Experience with Epic charting system required.
- Teaching hospital experience required.
- Trauma Level I experience required.
- CNOR certification preferred.
