About the Opportunity:
Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room, focusing on care for pediatric patients. This full-time contract position requires working night shifts, including two 12-hour and two 8-hour shifts weekly, for a total of 40 hours. The role includes conducting patient assessments, creating care plans, providing perioperative care, and ensuring a high standard of patient safety and care. Possibility for floating to other facilities enhances the opportunity for diverse experiences.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $56.65 to $66.95 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and create individualized care plans.
- Provide perioperative care for pediatric patients following established protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals including surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure optimal patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and maintain accurate records using Epic charting system.
- Stay informed on the latest practices in pediatric surgical care.
Job Requirements:
- Current California RN License.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a pediatric operating room setting.
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
- Preferred experience includes scrub experience, cardiac circulating experience, and ambulatory OR experience.
- CNOR certification is preferred.
