About the Opportunity:
This is a part-time contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at a pediatric facility. The role involves providing specialized surgical care for children. Responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating during procedures, ensuring aseptic techniques, and providing care and comfort to pediatric patients throughout their operative experience. The estimated base pay for these positions is $60.50 to $71.50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and contribute to surgical care plans.
- Provide support in various types of surgeries as a scrub or circulating nurse.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate surgical care.
- Monitor and document surgical team adherence to safety protocols.
- Stay informed on evolving practices in pediatric surgical care.
Job Requirements:
- BLS – Basic Life Support Certification (Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer).
- PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification.
- Minimum two years of hands-on pediatric knowledge and skill.
- Ability to scrub and circulate in the operating room.
- Flu vaccination required, no exceptions.
