About the Opportunity:
This contract position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR) focuses on providing specialized care to pediatric patients. The RN scrubs and circulates in the operating room, ensuring patient safety and effective surgical outcomes. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $55.00 to $65.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct surgical assessments and assist in creating care plans for pediatric patients.
- Provide skilled nursing care during surgical procedures, including both scrubbing and circulating duties.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate surgical care.
- Monitor and document patient progress during and after surgeries.
- Stay informed on pediatric surgical nursing practices and standards.
Job Requirements:
- BLS – Basic Life Support Certification (Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer).
- PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on pediatric nursing experience in a surgical setting.
- Ability to scrub and circulate in the OR effectively.
- FLU vaccination is required with no exceptions.
