About the Opportunity:
The Patient Service Representative role involves providing exceptional patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. This part-time contract position emphasizes patient comfort and advanced treatments for optimal oral health. Responsibilities include answering phones, handling patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and assisting with treatment plans and financial arrangements, all while supporting staff and enhancing patient experiences.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $19.25 to $22.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Acknowledge, smile, and greet patients upon arrival/dismissal.
- Respond to patient questions and concerns according to policies.
- Answer telephones and schedule appointments.
- Maintain and confirm appointments in the appointment book.
- Follow up on no-shows and cancellations.
- Register patients on sign-in sheet and post charges/payments.
- Check voicemail daily.
- Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area for patients.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience answering telephones.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Experience in a dental, medical, or healthcare office preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) preferred.
