About the Opportunity:
This is a full-time contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) providing comprehensive patient care. The role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver critical care, assessing patient needs, and implementing effective care plans. Duties require weekend, holiday, and call responsibilities. The position operates under a 12-hour day shift from 7 AM to 7:30 PM for a duration of 13 weeks.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $51.15 to $60.45 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and create individualized care plans.
- Provide nursing care and education to patients in the PCU.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor patient progress and document clinical observations.
- Stay informed on the latest research and practices in critical care nursing.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current NY RN license required.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required; PALS preferred.
- Current critical care experience preferred.
- Completion of at least one successful traveler assignment necessary.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills required.
- Capable of functioning well in stressful situations with good, creative problem-solving skills.
