About the Opportunity:
The RN, Interventional Therapy position provides specialized care focusing on vascular access and ultrasound-guided PIV placement for pediatric patients. This full-time contract role operates within an interdisciplinary team, offering care across various UCSF facilities as needed.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $53.90 to $63.70 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct specific assessments and create care plans related to vascular access.
- Provide education on ultrasound-guided PIV placement techniques.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay informed on the latest research and practices in pediatric vascular access.
Job Requirements:
- Possess CA RN License and BSN.
- AHA BLS Certification required.
- Experience in vascular access at a pediatric hospital.
- Proficiency in ultrasound PIV placement.
- Ability to float to other UCSF facilities as required.
- Preferred experience in inpatient and emergency department settings.
- Teaching hospital experience required.
- Epic charting system experience required.
