About the Opportunity
The RN in Interventional Therapy provides expert care for pediatric patients undergoing various interventional procedures. This full-time contract position involves utilizing advanced skills in vascular access and ultrasound-guided PIV placement, supporting a variety of complex cases, and ensuring high standards of patient safety and care across different hospital settings. The nurse also floats to other UCSF facilities as needed.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $53.90 to $63.70 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and create detailed care plans for pediatric patients.
- Provide ultrasound-guided peripheral venous access therapy.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress to ensure effective care delivery.
- Stay informed on the latest research and practices in interventional therapy.
Job Requirements
- CA RN License and BSN.
- Certification in AHA BLS.
- Experience in vascular access in pediatric hospital settings.
- Expertise in ultrasound PIV placement.
- Ability to float to other UCSF facilities.
- Preferred experience includes inpatient, ED, and trauma level hospital settings.
- Experience with the Epic charting system.
- Previous charge experience preferred.
- Teaching hospital experience required.
