About the Opportunity:
In this full-time contract position, the Nurse Manager provides daily operation and clinical supervision for staff in the psychiatry department, ensuring delivery of quality patient care consistent with evidence-based practices and regulatory standards. The Nurse Manager is clinically and administratively responsible for managing all activities within the inpatient service in collaboration with the Director.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $66.00 to $78.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct specific assessments and create care plans.
- Provide administrative and clinical leadership to the nursing department.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate interdisciplinary care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and clinical management.
- Stay informed on state and regulatory trends in psychiatric care.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing school with BSN; Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Licensed and currently registered as a Professional Nurse in New York State.
- Basic Life Support and ACLS certifications, Crisis Management certifications (PMCS, TRUST).
- Minimum five years as a Registered Nurse and clinical experience in psychiatry.
- Minimum two years in a leadership role.
- Critical thinking, math, and computer skills; competence in leadership and administrative skills.
