About the Opportunity
This full-time contract position provides specialized nursing care in the Radiology Department, with a primary focus in the CT and MRI units. The role involves collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care. Responsibilities include managing patients in the CT and MRI settings, monitoring anesthesia and sedation cases, and ensuring patient safety during imaging procedures. The role also requires responding to IV contrast reactions and utilizing strong IV skills.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $60.50 to $71.50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for radiology patients.
- Provide sedation and anesthesia monitoring for imaging procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists and MRI technologists to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and reactions to contrast media.
- Stay informed on the latest radiology nursing practices and protocols.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Valid NJ or compact nursing license in hand.
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
- Previous radiology experience is essential; MRI experience preferred.
- Strong communication and patient management skills.
