About the Opportunity:
Nurses in the Radiology department provide care to patients undergoing various imaging procedures such as CT scans, MRIs, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-ray, and ultrasound. This fast-paced pre/post interventional radiology department functions within a level 1 Trauma center, serving both inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan. Responsibilities include pre-procedural preparation, post-procedural recovery, and overnight observation care. This is a full-time contract position including D/E/N rotating shifts, floating, holidays, weekends, and on-call callback as charge per unit needs.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $63.25 to $74.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting pre-procedural assessments and creating care plans.
- Providing care for patients undergoing CT scans, MRIs, and other imaging procedures.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress post-procedure.
- Staying informed on radiology and interventional care practices.
Job Requirements:
- New York RN license.
- 2 years' Registered IR Nursing experience.
- Telemetry Experience.
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association ONLY).
- Preferred experience in medical/surgical and telemetry nursing.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
