About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position involves providing comprehensive care in an operating room setting. Key responsibilities include working in a multidisciplinary environment with specialties such as orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, and more. The position includes duties concerning the use of Davinci robots and participation in the transplant program involving livers, kidneys, and hearts. This role necessitates a rotating shift schedule, including on-call duties, callbacks, and work during holidays and weekends as per unit needs.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $50.05 to $59.15 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and creating care plans for a variety of surgical patients.
- Providing intraoperative care with the ability to scrub and circulate.
- Collaborating with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress during and after surgical procedures.
- Staying informed on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Job Requirements:
- RN License (NY state license ONLY).
- Minimum two years of operating room experience in a level 1 trauma hospital is preferred.
- Ability to scrub and circulate.
- Certification in BLS (American Heart Association ONLY).
- Telemetry expertise.
- Certification in ACLS is preferred.
- Preferred experience with specialty cases like transplants and craniotomy.
- Strong orthopedic background is desired.
