About the Opportunity:
Our client, a healthcare organization in NYC, is seeking experienced Wound Care Registered Nurses (RNs) for full-time contract opportunities in Manhattan and Brooklyn, NY. This role is focused on delivering specialized wound management care across a diverse patient population, ensuring optimal healing outcomes through evidence-based practices.
You will play a key role in leading wound care initiatives, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory standards while driving optimal patient healing outcomes.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $73 to $80 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Provide treatment for acute and chronic wounds, including pressure injuries, surgical wounds, and ulcers
- Implement and monitor advanced wound care therapies and interventions
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients, families, and staff on wound prevention and care strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
Job Requirements:
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Minimum of 3 years of recent wound care RN experience required
One of the Following Certifications Required:
- Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON) – Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board
- Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) – Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board
- Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) – American Board of Wound Management
- Wound Care Certified (WCC) – National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy
