About the Opportunity:
A Patient Services Representative provides a high level of patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. The role involves offering comprehensive, personalized care and prioritizing patient comfort and advanced treatments for optimal oral health. This part-time contract position suits those passionate about outstanding customer service and looking to start a career in the dental field. Responsibilities include supporting staff and patients through tasks such as answering phones, handling patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and assisting with treatment plans and financial arrangements.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $13.75 to $16.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Acknowledge, smile, and greet patients upon arrival/dismissal.
- Respond to patient questions and concerns according to policies.
- Answer telephones and schedule appointments.
- Maintain appointment books and confirm appointments.
- Follow up on no-shows or cancellations.
- Register patients on sign-in sheets.
- Post charges and payments to patient accounts.
- Check voicemail daily.
- Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area for patients.
Job Requirements:
- Experience answering telephones.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience working in a dental, medical, or other health-care office is preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) is preferred.
