Join our team as a Patient Services Representative in Yonkers, NY. This full-time contract position involves providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. You ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere while assisting patients and staff. Key responsibilities include answering phones, handling patient inquiries, making appointments, and assisting with financial arrangements. Your role plays a crucial part in delivering comprehensive and personalized care with a focus on exceptional customer service.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $19.25 to $22.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Acknowledge, smile, and greet patients upon arrival/dismissal.
- Respond to patient questions and concerns according to policies.
- Answer telephones and schedule appointments.
- Maintain and confirm the appointment book.
- Follow up on no shows/cancellations of appointments.
- Register patients on the sign-in sheet.
- Post charges and payments to patient accounts.
- Check voicemail on a daily basis.
- Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area for patients.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Six months of Denticon experience in the dental industry.
- Experience answering telephones.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Experience in a dental, medical, or other healthcare office preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) preferred.
