About the Opportunity:
The Physician Assistant in this role provides comprehensive care in a 16-bed acuity-adaptable Pediatric Cardiac Care Center, caring for critically ill pediatric patients with congenital cardiac conditions. This full-time contract position requires expertise in managing complex anatomy and physiology within a multidisciplinary team environment. The position includes 13-hour day/night rotating shifts, and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) serve as primary covering providers for patients pre- and post-operatively, handling conditions such as high-risk single ventricle physiology and external/internal pacemaker management. The role demands a strong understanding of ICU procedural skills but focuses primarily on patient management rather than procedures. The APP team occasionally cares for adult patients with congenital heart disease and PICU boarder patients with various critical care needs.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $110.00 to $130.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
