About the Opportunity:
This contract position for a Physician Assistant at the Irvine (Barranca) location involves providing comprehensive outpatient care to a patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics. Responsibilities include office-based procedures such as biopsies, IUD and nexplanon placements, and managing patient appointments efficiently. Collaborating with healthcare professionals, the Physician Assistant conducts necessary medical assessments and develops appropriate care plans under an established schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an hour allocated for lunch.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $83.60 to $98.80 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting initial OB visits and routine OB care.
- Providing support for postpartum, incision checks, and well-woman exams.
- Administering procedures like IUD/nexplanon insertion, I&D of cysts, and managing problem visits related to UTI, STI, menopause, and more.
- Collaborating with other professionals in the office to optimize patient care.
- Utilizing EPIC for accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.
Job Requirements:
- Unrestricted California license required.
- Board certification and possession of a DEA license.
- BLS or ACLS certification.
- At least 2 years of experience in outpatient settings.
- Proficiency in procedures including biopsies, IUD/Nexplanon insertions, and management of OB-related visits.
- EPIC experience is mandatory.
