About the Opportunity:
This is a full-time contract position for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Paxton, IL. The role involves providing high-quality physical therapy services to patients. PTAs assist licensed physical therapists in the delivery of physical therapy programs and treatments. They help improve patients' mobility and function under the direction and supervision of physical therapists.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $26.40 to $31.20 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting therapeutic exercises and functional activities under the supervision of a physical therapist.
- Providing patient education on exercises, safety, and home care following therapist's directions.
- Collaborating with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and reporting the information to the therapist.
- Staying informed on the latest physical therapy practices and techniques to enhance patient care.
Job Requirements:
- Certification from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Illinois.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
