About the Opportunity:
Music Therapist position focuses on providing therapeutic services to patients within the NICU and Pediatric Surgical Unit. This full-time contract position involves using music therapy to contribute to the emotional and physical well-being of children in a medical setting.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $46.75 to $55.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and creating music therapy care plans for pediatric patients.
- Providing music therapy sessions tailored to individual patient needs.
- Collaborating with medical professionals such as nurses and physicians to coordinate patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress related to therapy goals.
- Staying informed on research and practices in music therapy, particularly in medical settings.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Therapy.
- MT-BC Music Therapist Board Certification.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working with children in a medical setting.
- Preferred experience with charting systems, specifically Epic.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
