About the Opportunity
Our client, a middle-market lending fund in Stamford, is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee administration and assist with all accounting functions. This role offers a collaborative team, strong culture, and family-like atmosphere.
The annual base salary range is $125,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial reports, including waterfall analysis, management fees, and various allocations
- Manage relationships with fund administrators and service providers such as custodians, depositories, and auditors
- Collaborate with internal and external legal, tax teams, auditors, and custodians to establish new funds
- Implement a cash management system to assess reserves, available funds, and coordinate capital calls and distributions with deal teams.
- Support annual audit processes by working closely with auditors
- Calculate performance metrics for investments and funds, including gross and net IRRs and multiples
- Assist in investor due diligence for new products and review of partnership agreements
- Oversee fund expenses, vendor payments, and prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial projections
Job Requirements
- 7-12 years of Private Equity Fund Accounting experience, ideally
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
