About the Opportunity
Our client, a prestigious Alternatives Asset Manager with a global presence (NYC, LA, and 20+ cities), is hiring a Fund Controller in Los Angeles due to growth. The annual base salary range is $100,000 to $145,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Handle cash reconciliation tasks and resolve any discrepancies
- Monitor and review daily transaction entries
- Record accruals for month-end closing
- Calculate management and performance fees
- Oversee and reconcile capital activities and statements managed by the transfer agent
- Prepare monthly fund reports and track performance metrics
- Coordinate with auditors, custodians, and transfer agents
- Support the creation of monthly and quarterly leverage facility reports
- Review SEC filings, including quarterly 10-Q and annual 10-K reports
- Engage in projects and contribute to process improvements for key deliverables
- Complete additional tasks as needed
Job Requirements
- 5-7 years of relevant fund accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong knowledge of reconciliation and account analysis
- Strong analytical skills and ability to understand and resolve complex problems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with Geneva and/or Geneva World Investor, accounting systems and Markit WSO (notice portal) is a plus
