About the Opportunity:
A Radiologic Technologist, or RAD Tech, performs diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. This full-time contract position involves operating radiographic equipment to capture images of the body, following physician orders, and adhering to safety protocols to protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure. The RAD Tech also ensures images are of high quality for radiologist interpretation.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $49.50 to $58.50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic imaging examinations and create accurate care plans.
- Ensure proper patient positioning to achieve optimal image quality.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Practice radiation safety to protect patients, self, and staff.
- Monitor and document patient progress in compliance with EPIC system.
Job Requirements:
- Valid New York Radiologic Technologist license at the time of application.
- Experience using EPIC charting system preferred.
- Acceptable certification through American Heart Association (AHA).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Potential candidates must have been away from New York Presbyterian for at least 1 year to be considered for this travel position.
